We are Headed Out West
The characters, logistics, and locations are in pre-production. We are looking for a brand partner to take this project to the next level.
Scheduled Projects:
- Ruby Dog: Heroes of Avalanche Rescue
- Phil Powers: After the Fall
- Protect Our Water: San Clemente Surf Culture
- Tough as a Mother: Raising World Changers
- Overview: Public Lands, Climate, & The Next Generation

Film 1: Ruby Dog
Avalanches are an inherent risk for backcountry users and an increasing cause of death for skiers, snowboarders, and snowmobilers. A tireless few have dedicated their lives to learning from and preparing for the worst. Seasoned avalanche professionals do their best to forecast avalanche danger and communicate risk to their user groups, but sometimes that is not enough.
In this film, you will see how man, machine, and a canine are able to work in harmony to provide an invaluable resource to the backcountry community.
Meet Ruby, a highly-trained avalanche search and rescue dog and her handler, Pat. With several seasons of avalanche forecasting, avalanche control, ski patrol, search & rescue, and ski guiding experience, these two have invested many years into honing their skills. Join us as we watch them doing what they love.
About Pat:
- Ski Patroller, Ski Guide, Avalanche Forecaster, Avalanche Educator, Avalanche Dog Handler
About Ruby Dog:
- Avalanche Search & Rescue Dog, Ski Partner, Friend
In early March we will partner with Sun Valley Guides and Sun Valley Heli Ski to tell the story of an avalanche search & rescue dog and her best friend and owner. We will combine archival footage of this avalanche rescue team in action with breath-taking glimpses into the mountain ranges that they call home.

Film 2: Phil Powers
A great mountaineer is judged by their response to adversity. Phil Powers has conquered some of the world's most challenging peaks, yet he was left fighting for his life after a 60-foot fall.
This is the story of unexpected challenges and the will to overcome them.
About Phil:
- Summited K2 without supplemental oxygen
- First Ascent on Denali
- Executive Director American Alpine Association
- 17-year Exec NOLS - Chief Mountaineering
- Owner Jackson Hole Mountain Guides
- Shattered body in Golden, CO on a "simple" lunch climb and then rehabilitated himself back to full strength
This March, we will combine a climbing shoot alongside Phil, his family, and special guests. The film will include archival footage of his accomplishments, his fall, and audio accounts of the many triumphs of his careers.

Film 3: Protect Our Water
Oceans are everything: food, weather, recreation, weather and home to so many of the world’s most interesting creatures.
Some of those creatures include both youthful and historic surfers of Southern California. This is the story of sustainability and the youthful spirit determined to make a change.
Characters / Locations:
- Hobie Dana Point – Origin: 1954
- Hansen’s Surf Shop – Origin: 1961
- San Clemente Surf Community
- Encinitas Surf Community
We will spend time at the historic surf shops of Southern California as well as with the emerging young surfing professionals of the area to discuss the importance of the ocean, their passion for surfing, and protecting their waters for the future.

Film 4: Tough as a Mother
Women are badass, especially for what they endure and accomplish in childbirth and the early stages of motherhood. Today more than ever young mothers are not only raising world-changers, but also publicly defining their skills, capabilities, and world-changing characteristics.
This is a story of female empowerment and the tough mothers that are defining the future for themselves and their children.
About the Film:
- Ariel Levy is a director on our film crew, a dirt biker, a rock climber, skier, mountaineer and more importantly a mom to a one-year-old, River.
- As we travel from Idaho to San Diego we will recap our adventure alongside our athlete partners through the eyes of River and the tough mom that leads him through this educational experience in our great public lands.
- Throughout the journey, Ariel and River will tell their story as well as the story of other tough moms we meet along the way.
This imagery, alongside the key talking points of our film subjects, will define a narrative on climate, youth empowerment, and the importance of an adventurous and outdoor education.

We Are Searching For The Big One
We lost our co-founder to a sneaker wave off the coast of Oregon. Before he left, Kelly looked back to us and said, "It's gonna be a big one.”
His last words referred to the wave, but also so much more. Since that time we have been determined to find the Big One, and we have a plan to search for it.
We will create new films alongside aspirational figures around the world. If we talk to enough people who are also searching for the Big One, we will find it ourselves.
This spring our crew is headed out West to expand on these stories and inspire positive change in the viewers we will reach.
There will be four character films, as well a trip overview that focuses on courage, overcoming challenges, the protection of public lands, climate change, and the impact of raising children to be adventurous stewards of our natural resources.
In addition to the professional athletes we will highlight, our director will also bring his one-year-old son to illuminate the importance of passing these lessons down to the next generation.

Recent Branded Films
Get Comfortable Athens, GA
A raw, unfiltered look at race, culture, and economic development in Athens, GA. We partnered with Creature Comforts to help uncomfortable locals get comfortable with the real issues that plague our city, and the results have been impactful.
We have reached nearly the entire population of Athens, the film has been added to local high school curriculum, and Creature Comforts has more than doubled their Get Comfortable donations.

The Way Out: Wedding
A wedding for filmmakers planned by filmmakers does not follow normal rules. When two of our creatives tied the knot, we planned an adventure film across the Moab desert: climbing Fisher Towers, RZR along the cliffs, skydiving over Canyonlands and backcountry flying into Mineral Bottoms for the ceremony.
We partnered with Outside Magazine and Dirtbag Darling for distribution, but the story went viral across both adventure and wedding communities.

Tunnel Vision
This is the story of a young bull rider’s journey to support his family in the toughest way possible, and an old legend’s reflection on a similar journey.
Through the combination of striking a nerve with the Western community and a cameo from JB Mauney, this film generated massive traction with the Cowboy community and launched our international partnership with the Wrangler Network.
